My stay at Hotel Ascona was a pleasant surprise in terms of value and luxury. The complimentary upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains and lake was a highlight, providing a serene setting to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel's location is perfect, offering breathtaking views and a short walk to the town for shopping.The facilities, from the well-kept pool and grounds to the restaurant with reasonably priced set menus, were all top-notch. The family-owned hotel exudes warmth and care, evident in the attention to detail throughout. While there were many upscale features, such as high-quality patio furniture and art displays, the atmosphere remained inviting and comfortable.Although the hotel was fully booked during my four-night stay, I was left wanting more time in this charming Alpine retreat. I would highly recommend Hotel Ascona for travelers seeking a cozy, well-managed European experience at a reasonable cost.
